Review: Paranormal Activity 3

 

For better or worse in a series of Paranormal Activity Where Waldo? horror movie. You know, when the lights go out, and the image appears on the screen tells you what day it is something scary will happen. The half the fun of this movie is exactly the kind of crowded public reacts like a doll in a timely manner. It is ironic that this series looks good and does not show up better on the big screen because it is considered as a pirate on a smartphone, one of the few who really need in most theaters packed to see. As a film of the party, a kind of game with a friend or colleague spectators, has a value. But as a film, the third installment is After a bit of a red herring, and his status as a prequel, the story of a small fraud.

Plot - This is 1988 and young Katie Ray (Chloe Csengery) and Kristi Ray (Jessica Tyler Brown) lived with their parents, when things really start to go bump in the night. The fact that this is a prequel to the movie prevented a number of advanced features. First, we know that girls are not in danger, if you look at their future fate in the previous image. Secondly, the fact that this film is a family of four with two young girls puts the brakes on the issue in the intensity of the film the most. In other words, it takes much less for families with children to teach them away from home, due to fear of children from a young couple.

So there for 2 / 3 of the initial appearance of a real fear, the two biggest moments "jump" out literally false. We play the waiting game is normal, but it soon became clear that there is no fear in the day (it is a problem in the previous film as well) that will occur and the image very slightly marked or see or hear a voice quite close to the end. It is tempting to start, a surprisingly strong (the special effects that the series is known for), but nothing happens very disturbing, almost the entire movie. We are looking for voice and / or unexpected attractions, but they are rarely hard, like never come. It is clear that the expectation of fear is narrower than the shock itself, but after defeating the fake so much that it is inefficient or shock-door and wished only to boredom.

Equally worrying is the lack of tension in the household. Paranormal activity first worked as fascinating portrait of a young woman driven to madness by the seemingly random impulse. If we are not surprised, we're a bit busy in his personal drama. The second film is also fighting the signs of tension when a young couple with unexplained phenomena that threaten their newborn child. But this time the atmosphere a little described. There is humor that is more current and, more importantly, a sense of cheerful light. Because there is little real impact, there is little real trauma for our character. No drama to compensate for the absence of fear. For most of the picture, we are just not attractive and only a happy family going about their business, while the occasional light falls from the ceiling. And as tensions in the third round, but finally came, the film was shot in the story closely, with the mother (Lauren Bittner) in the classic "stubbornly continued to authority." They always say things are wrong and / or refuse to remove the video would show that there is something wrong, like a lot of movies in the last third of the silly plot.

If the event is a picture with me when I was ten, I would rather cruelly deformed by them, and I certainly will not forget it all seems.

In any case, Paranormal Activity is 3, either by his status as a prequel (it's quite confusing last role) and hindered by the strange tone of joy. Fear of a real lack of dramatic tension, and the surprising lack of power, it is a movie just as a fun-house training can be enjoyed with some friends.
